The day of kindness started in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire in 2005. The day takes place on a Friday in October. This year, (2009) it is set for Friday October 9th.
The day and interest in it has grown considerably in recent years and one of its aims is to spread nationally. This requires other like-minded people to take the time to do something, to realise that now is the opportunity to play a part in making a difference. There is no longer any need to wait for governmental changes to offer hope for a brand new day. The fact of the matter is that there never, ever was any need to wait and waiting was and still is a complete waste of our precious and relatively short time.
